DHIN 2012 Annual Report
to Stakeholders Available
DHIN
has completed its 2012
Annual Report, highlighting the accomplishments
of the last 12 months and providing a view ahead.
The year, in which DHIN celebrated its 5th anniversary
as the first and most mature health information exchange,
had many high points: 100% participation by Delaware
acute care hospitals; the delivery of more than 9
million clinical results; posting of more than 1.4
million unique patient records; and 95% enrollment
by state medical practices to name just a few. All
of the state's skilled nursing facilities are now
enrolled and have access to DHIN.

Milestone Reached as Two New Data Senders Join
Since
the fall of 2011, data sender partnerships in DHIN
have increased by 140%, from seven to 17! That is
a rate of just under one per month. If a medical result
is generated in Delaware, there is over a 95% chance
that the result is available on DHIN.
In the fourth calendar quarter of 2012 DHIN welcomed
Diagnostic Imaging Associates, one of the largest
radiology practices in the state, with seven locations
across New Castle County, and, DHIN signed a memorandum
of agreement (MOA) with a New Jersey based lab, Medical
Laboratory Diagnostics. Med Labs is working to expand
its services to Delaware practices and regarded participation
in DHIN as integral to their business in Delaware.

joined in 2012, visit http://www.dhin.org/data-senders
